Worship, Scripture, Prayer, Community, Discipleship and Outreach

Our Identity

We are a church with five congregations. One congregation is English-speaking, three are Cantonese-speaking and one is Mandarin-speaking. As a church we worship, fellowship and serve in different languages and our vision is to be a united community of people changed by Jesus and sent to impact our world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our History

Richmond Chinese Alliance Church was established on June 12, 1977 by members of Vancouver Chinese Alliance Church. Worship services were first held in a gym belonging to Bethel Mennonite Church on No. 5 Road.

By 1979 the Lord added more to the church family, and continued to do so through the 1980's. A particular focus of RCAC was reaching and welcoming new immigrants with God's love through the Gospel. The original gathering space became crowded so RCAC purchased a church building and land by No. 1 Road and Williams, near Steveston Village. RCAC has gathered in this location since.

God has blessed our church to be a blessing to many. Listening to the Spirit we continue praying toward and working out our original vision to reach Richmond and the world with the Gospel.

This website mostly reflects ministries of the English speaking congregation. Click here for more information regarding our Chinese speaking congregations.

We are part of a family of churches called the Alliance Canada. Click here for more information on our Denomination.
