Sunday Worship Liturgy
November 1, 2020

Below is the worship liturgy for November 1. If you are unable to join us at 9:00AM for our live worship through Zoom, you are invited to walk through this liturgy individually or together with your family.

While we cannot meet together at our church building, we continue to live and act as the church through our collective worship of God. May this liturgy continue to bless you and encourage you in the worship of the Lord. The video of the worship service, which will span approximately 90 minutes in its entirety will be posted by 10:45AM today.

You're always welcome to join us live, every Sunday at 9:00am.

Here is the recording of the service:

Call to Worship

I will sing of your steadfast love, O Lord, forever.

With my mouth I will proclaim your faithfulness to all generations.

I declare that your steadfast love is established forever.

Your faithfulness is as firm as the heavens.

You said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to my servant David:

I will establish your descendants forever, and build your throne for all generations.”

Praise the Lord!

Merciful God, you made us in your image, with a mind to know you, a heart to love you, and a will to serve you. But our knowledge is imperfect, our love inconsistent, our obedience incomplete.

Day by day, we fail to grow into your likeness. In your tender love, forgive us through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Assurance of Pardon
Romans 8:34; 2 Corinthians 5:17

Hear the good news! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us.

Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know that you are forgiven and be at peace. Thanks be to God.

Philippians 2:1-11

Christ's Example of Humility

1 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, 2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Alliance Womens' Ministries
This Christmas our Alliance Women’s Ministries group has prepared some lovely masks to thank brothers and sisters for their support of the Ministries. The masks are available for pick up at church Room 101 during office hours (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm).  Due to the limited production, each family please only pick up what you need and no more than two for each family.  Should you are unable to come in person, you may ask other brothers and sisters to pick up on your behalf.  Please contact church office for any questions. Free-will offering is appreciated. All proceeds will go to the support of missionaries. Even if you do not receive the mask, please continue to pray for the ministries and support them financially.  Thank you !
