Sunday Worship Liturgy
September 20, 2020

Below is the worship liturgy for September 20. If you are unable to join us at 9:00AM for our live worship through Zoom, you are invited to walk through this liturgy individually or together with your family.

While we cannot meet together at our church building, we continue to live and act as the church through our collective worship of God. May this liturgy continue to bless you and encourage you in the worship of the Lord. The video of the worship service, which will span approximately 90 minutes in its entirety will be posted later in the evening today.

You're always welcome to join us live, every Sunday at 9:00am.

Congregation : The Lord is the stronghold of our lives.

WL: We desire to live in God’s house and to seek God in his holy temple.

Congregation: We have come with shouts of joy, to sing and to make music to the Lord.

WL: Let us worship God in spirit and in truth.

All: Teach us your ways and make straight our paths in this hour of worship and always.

“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”

Isaiah 6:5

Assurance of Pardon

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.  With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”

Genesis 12:1-3, 18:17-19

1 Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. 2 I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

17 The Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, 18 seeing that Abraham shall become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? 19 No, for I have chosen him, that he may charge his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice; so that the Lord may bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.”
